Following the example of the EHRMCC, the London Human Rights Moot Court Competition (LHRMCC) simulated the procedures of complaints to the European Court of Human Rights and provided the participating students with an excellent opportunity to engage practically with human rights.
The first edition of the competition was an independent Local Moot Court Competition organised by ELSA LSE SU in January 2018 at the London School of Economics with participating teams from the LSE, King’s College London, the University of Kent and Queen Mary University of London.
The second edition of the LHRMCC became an official Pre-Round of the International competition, EHRMCC. It was hosted in February 2019 at the London School of Economics during the first day of pleadings and at Orrick LLP during the second day, when semi-final and final rounds took place. The 2020 edition of this sort of moot will officially be the European Human Rights Moot Court Competition’s Western Regional Round Nottingham.
